As a valued member of the Hospitality Services team, you’ll provide front-line customer service at our hospital Information Desks, including East/West, MP200, and Maddie’s Room. You’ll be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, greeting them warmly, checking them in, offering directions, and answering questions. You’ll confirm inpatient admissions with insurance providers while ensuring HIPAA compliance, and help enforce visitor policies to keep our environment safe and supportive.
You’ll regularly use systems like PassagePoint and Care Connect, and follow security and lost-and-found procedures. In Maddie’s Room, you’ll also manage seating, communicate surgical updates, and maintain an organized, welcoming atmosphere. This role gives you the independence to take initiative while also collaborating closely with your team to create a positive experience for every guest.

Salary Range: $29.42-42.14/hour

- Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS Power point strongly preferred.
- Ability to effect change toward improvement of hospital and clinics services.
- Ability to relate on the telephone with authority, tact, understanding patience and caring.
- Ability to navigate through the system to find where patients about to receive updates for the family.
- Ability to multi task (answer multiple questions at the same time, answer and receive multiple phone lines from Operating room, PACU, SOU, GOU, Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, Radiology, Interventional Medicine, Interventional Cardiology and Surgeons needing assistance to locate family members for update.
- Physical Requirements: Standing and walking at least 6.5 hours of an 8 hour work day, often in continuous stretches
Pushing / Pulling / Lifting up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work with various types of volunteers in the surgical waiting area and the Recovery room.
