Under the direction of the Senior Director of Communications and working closely with the Director of Internal Communications, the Communications Coordinator plays an important role in supporting enterprise-wide communications initiatives across internal and executive communications, with additional support provided to media relations and reputation and incident management functions.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate and prioritize requests for internal communications support
- Format and distribute employee communications across multiple internal channels
- Manage email distribution calendars and maintain intranet content
- Support the development and execution of internal communications strategies and campaigns
- Facilitate efficient departmental workflows
- Produce reports that measure the impact of internal and external communications
- Use communication data and insights to support strategic and tactical decision-making
- Collaborate with team members who are strategists, writers, editors and subject-matter experts in internal and executive communication, media relations and issues management
- Interact with employees across multiple executive levels throughout the enterprise
- Handle sensitive information and interactions with tact, discretion and emotional intelligence
Salary Range: $65,800 – $130,800/annually
We’re seeking a detail-oriented individual with:
Required:
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relation or related degree
- Three or more years of experience in communications, media relations, marketing, journalism, public relations or related roles
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational as well as interpersonal, written, verbal communications skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- This is a full-time in-office position (in the Communications office)
Preferred:
- Experience working in a healthcare setting
- Experience working in a higher education setting
- Experience working in a large, complex organization
- Proficiency with content management systems, such as WordPress; email distribution platforms, such as ContactMonkey; media monitoring tools, such as Muck Rack; and project management tools
