Under the direction of a Custodial Supervisor, the Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout assigned UCLA Health facilities. This position performs routine and specialized cleaning in patient care areas, nursing stations, exam and procedure rooms, offices, conference rooms, hallways, corridors, and public spaces. The Custodian operates a variety of cleaning and floor care equipment and follows established procedures for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining surfaces.
The role includes cleaning isolation rooms, performing high- and low-level dusting, maintaining floors through sweeping, stripping, and waxing, and properly handling and storing cleaning chemicals and supplies. The Custodian plays an important role in supporting a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff while adhering to UCLA Health’s infection prevention, safety, and cleanliness standards.

Salary Range: $26.69-34.50/hr
