Join our Common Ground team as a Patient Service Representative and make a difference in the community. Under the direct supervision of the Director, the Patient Service Rep will provide front desk support.
Key Duties:
- Answer calls for the HIV, STD, and Syringe Exchange program in Spanish and English.
- Provide accurate, nonjudgmental information to all clients and patients.
- Greet clients and support navigation to appropriate services.
- Provide check-in/check-out services to clients for medical visits.
- Keeps the drop-in center and front desk cleaned and organized.
- Provide administrative support to HIV, Hepatitis C, Prevention and SSP programming.
- Per the Provider, Case Manager or Supervision arrange for follow up medical appointments.
- Provide additional backup administrative support as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Please note that this is a full-time limited position for 5.5 months and may convert to career.
Salary Range: $27.74 – $39.36 Hourly
- Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and antibody testing, community resources, Hepatitis C and STD knowledge, harm reduction, and syringe exchange.
- Skill in database management, maintenance, queries, and data entry.
- Ability to complete required program documentation.
- Public speaking and leadership ability.
- Skill in providing individualized HIV/Hep C health education, HIV/ Hep C testing and Counseling.
- Ability to follow through on assignments, and work independently, and work as part of a group.
- Ability to discuss sensitive matters in a non-judgmental manner and respect confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively with people of diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
- Skill in maintaining cooperative working relationships with staff members and volunteers.
- Ability to manage many deadlines and multi task.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
