Come join our dedicated and caring team of professionals as a Medical Assistant III. With guidance and direction from our staff R.N. and L.V.N., the Medical Assistant will:
- Assist clinical staff at our primary care clinic in the delivery of health care to our clinic population.
- Interview patients, take vital signs, room patients for providers, and record services in patients’ charts.
- Perform phlebotomy and tests for hemoglobin and one-touch blood sugar levels.
- Collect, process, and send paperwork and samples for laboratory processing.
- Perform in-clinic procedures for visual acuity, audiometry, baby sound check, etc.
- Provide immunizations, nebulizer/breathing treatments, Tylenol and antibiotics as ordered by our providers and per protocol.
- Assist with inventory maintenance of clinical stock and supplies, and order as needed.
- Provide pregnancy and contraceptive counseling.
- Assist with exams and translate between Spanish and English for providers as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned and within legal scope of practice.

Salary range: $28.06 – $37.02 Hourly
- Documented evidence of completed Medical Assisting training and Medical Assistant Certificate.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)/CPR card and Phlebotomy Certification.
- Effective English and Spanish communication skills.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy and laboratory procedures.
- Skill in administering injections and immunizations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of general medical and laboratory procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact in a professional manner with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
- Ability to float to other facilities within Los Angeles County as needed (includes offsite work with our outreach team).
