Come join our team of dedicated professionals in this leadership opportunity at our Venice Family Clinic. Under the guidance of our Director of Nursing, the Nurse Manager will provide clinical nursing and programmatic direction for several of our Venice Family Clinic locations that provide care to low-income and homeless patients in the Los Angeles County area. The Nurse Manager:
- Coordinates training of medical assistants and nursing staff within their assigned region.
- Develops plans, policies, and protocols for the region’s patient care programs.
- Collaborates with the director of nursing to identify new modalities for providing care, and works as a key member of the regions clinical leadership team.
- Focuses on population health, social determinants of health, continuous quality improvement, and innovation through design thinking and other means.
- Provides leadership and supervision for the regional medical assistants, volunteer clinic assistants, and Nurses.
- Directly provides primary care nursing services in the clinics of their region’s service area.
The University of California, Los Angeles is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is $61.54 – $142.77 Hourly.
- BSN or MSN from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current, active California Registered Nurse License and BLS certificate.
- Experience in the supervision/management and training of RN’s and Nursing support staff.
- Knowledge of Ambulatory Care regulatory requirements and performance improvement principles.
- Outpatient and primary nursing skills, and demonstrated work experience with children and adults.
- Working knowledge of child abuse reporting laws.
- Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral status assessments.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, and the ability to work as part of multi-disciplinary team.
- Must be able and willing to travel between sites (within Los Angeles County).
