The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (PA) to join a collaborative inpatient team caring for children and adolescents with hematologic and oncologic disorders, including patients undergoing stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies.
As part of a primary admitting service, the APP will evaluate and manage hospitalized patients from admission through discharge, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and ensure continuity of care throughout hospitalization. The APP will also support chemotherapy safety and treatment oversight through treatment plan review, toxicity monitoring, and collaboration with physicians, pharmacists, and nursing staff to ensure the safe delivery of high-risk therapies. This role is integral to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced pediatric specialty setting.
This is one APP role to be filled as either a PA or NP.
Salary range: $83.46-$112.31/hourly
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current California Physician Assistant license.
- National certification as a PA
- DEA registration and BLS/PALS certification in accordance with institutional requirements.
- Demonstrated clinical decision-making, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage a complex pediatric patient population in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
- Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and family-centered care.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of pediatric inpatient, oncology, hematology, critical care, or related experience.
- Experience caring for pediatric patients with hematologic and oncologic disorders.
- Familiarity with chemotherapy administration, oncology treatment protocols, and management of treatment-related toxicities.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary care and discharge planning.
