- Provide mental health services for children who are suspected victims of sexual abuse and for their non offending family members, including intake evaluations, comprehensive diagnostic assessments, crisis intervention, and individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
- Deliver evidence based, trauma informed treatment to support recovery and resilience.
- Provide follow up support and coordination of care for clients and families.
- Complete required documentation and other administrative responsibilities.
- Offer clinical supervision and training to students, as assigned.
- Participate in the Rape Treatment Center/Stuart House 24 hour on call response system, providing telephone intake, in person advocacy, crisis intervention, accompaniment, and information/referral for victims and significant others presenting for emergency medical care or forensic examinations (1–2 weekday overnight shifts per month).
- Collaborate with law enforcement, medical professionals, and other partner agencies as part of a multidisciplinary response.
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and highly competent professional who possesses:
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D./Psy.D.) from an institution accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).
- State of California Clinical Psychologist license.
- Experience providing trauma‑informed psychotherapy to children who are suspected victims of sexual abuse and to their families, including strong diagnostic and treatment skills for trauma‑related symptoms.
- Competence in conducting psychosocial and/or psychological evaluations with children and adolescents.
- Advanced knowledge of child development complex trauma, evidence based treatment models, crisis intervention, sexual trauma, and problem sexual behaviors.
- Experience working with individuals in crisis and with diverse populations across culture, ethnicity, and age.
- Strong ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff.
- Ability and willingness to work up to 2 overnight on‑call shifts per month and meet a 30‑minute response time to our Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center when scheduled.
Preferred:
- Experience providing supervision or training to students.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
