This position supports aging research through advanced wet lab techniques, primary cell culture, and molecular biology experiments. The role includes analyzing and interpreting complex datasets, training and supervising undergraduate research assistants, and providing general lab management support. Key responsibilities also include maintaining regulatory compliance and contributing to impactful research that advances aging discovery and therapeutic development.
Salary: $26.52 – 31.63 hourly
Required
- Ability to follow through on work assignments.
- Willingness and ability to work changing hours if necessary.
- Fluency in proper sterile technique
- Working knowledge of tissue culture.
- Working knowledge of basic chemistry and biology.
- Knowledge of quality control and instrument usage.
- Ability to keep accurate and organized records.
- Ability to perform experimental calculations and analysis.
- Ability to work with potentially biohazardous material (human blood and serum).
- Ability to work with limited and properly handled/stored hazardous chemicals
- Working experience in immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence
- Ability to take direction with regard to problems or troubleshooting in the lab is critical
- Knowledge of data analysis software, e.g. Excel, PRISM
- Experience working with large sets of data
- Experience working with patient biopsy sample
