In our Neuro-Ophthalmology clinic, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience for our patients—from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a clinic environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate patient flow from check-in to check-out
- Collect insurance verifications and payments
- Schedule new consultations, follow-up visits, and surgeries
- Complete referral forms and obtain authorizations for services
- Answer a heavy phone line
Required:
- Experience in scheduling tests and surgeries.
- Experience working with various insurances, and prior authorization process.
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly under occasional high-pressure situations or deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deal with patients, physicians, medical professionals, and co-workers.
- Skill in working independently with accuracy and ability to follow instructions with minimal direction.
- Skill in prioritizing assignments to meet deadlines and ability to determine which duties may require immediate attention.
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions and manage several duties at once in an efficient manner.
Preferred:
- Experience working in an Ophthalmology practice.
