The Rape Treatment Center is an internationally recognized, model program that provides free, comprehensive medical, psychological and legal services for victims of sexual assault and child sexual abuse, together with extensive outreach and prevention education programs. Our Administrative Assistant/Receptionist plays an important part in helping us bring wholeness and healing to survivors of child sexual abuse and their families.
The Administrative Assistant III/Receptionist:
- Answers phones and triages intake/crisis phone calls.
- Greets visitors and coordinates visitor reception.
- Provides operational/administrative support and assists staff to enhance office operations and continuity of care.
- Purchases office supplies and manages inventory, ensuring appropriate stock levels and maintaining organized supply and storage areas.
- Monitors reception room and other designated areas, including ensuring maintenance of environment of care standards and identifying and responding to special situations and/or client/visitor/staff needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Salary range: $30.36 – $43.49 Hourly
Required:
- At least 1 year of work experience providing administrative support and reception, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Ability to work with individuals seeking crisis services, including triaging crisis calls (e.g., from rape and/or child sexual abuse victims and significant others), treating all matters confidentially, and taking accurate, thorough messages.
- Knowledge of legal requirements and Hospital policies governing patient confidentiality, client/patient right-to-privacy, and release of information.
- Skill in performing a variety of tasks independently with minimal direction in a timely manner, under conditions subject to fluctuating workloads and changing deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and individuals seeking crisis services.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, standard office procedures, business practices, and project coordination.
Experience with UC CareConnect Empac and Bruin-Buy system and procedures is a plus.
