- Assemble and lead large cross-functional project teams to develop detailed project plans and schedules, guide project implementation, and monitor resource allocation
- Develop detailed project proposals and reports that support organizational strategy
- Track project status and performance leveraging metrics and dashboards
- Conduct data analysis of complex project-related issues to inform decision-making
- Apply quality improvement and risk management methodologies to address project challenges
- Oversee project progress from initiation through delivery, including system integration, project and campus, medical center, or Office of the President communications, vendor coordination, and managing risk
- Identify and escalate risks and facilitate the implementation of mitigation strategies and innovative solutions
- Communicate project progress, risks, and solutions to leadership and stakeholders
- Collaborate across departments at all levels to ensure alignment with institutional goals
- Provide expert guidance on project scoping, execution, and measurement
- Enhance and standardize project management processes, tools, and reporting systems
- Support team-level continuous improvement through ongoing performance monitoring and analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training
- Minimum eight years of progressive experience managing cross-functional projects and implementing process improvement methodologies – REQUIRED
- Project management (PMP) certificate and/or quality assurance processes like Six Sigma or Lean or or equivalent project management experience required – REQUIRED
- Requires advanced knowledge of project management principles, theories, and concepts
- Demonstrated advanced organization and project management skills
- Working knowledge of organizational and technology-related initiatives, with a clear understanding of their strategic and operational impact
- Demonstrated attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to determine relevance and prioritize tasks
- Demonstrated advanced, effective writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of an organization effectively
- Demonstrated competency in selecting and implementing project management methods and techniques
- Proven leadership ability. Demonstrated ability to put forth persuasive arguments
- Demonstrated skill in effective problem-solving
- Demonstrated skill at tracking effort and project progress
- Demonstrated strong conceptual and planning skills to analyze projects of broad and diverse scope. Understands the cost impact of projects, project tracking tools, and metrics
