The Data Coordinator will receive guidance and direction from the Manager of Data Compliance, and will assist in coordinating data collection and reporting activities for our Rape Treatment Center and Stuart House.
Responsibilities include:
- Manages department relational databases and electronic recordkeeping systems.
- Updates records and extracts data from highly sensitive records.
- Analyses data and highly confidential information.
- Generates custom and “canned” queries and reports.
- Reviews entries in the UCLA Health System’s electronic record keeping system.
- Interfaces with department managers and software developers/Vendors.
- Manages implementation of new electronic systems (databases, electronic recordkeeping)
- Trains staff and new hires in Department data programs/systems and serves as a resource and trouble- shooter.
- B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience with database coordination and operation.
- Strong proficiency in Excel. Experience using advanced formulas (VLOOKUP, Power Query, and PivotTables).
- Excellent verbal and written proficiency in the English language and ability to write clear and well-organized reports, correspondence, training materials, and other materials.
- Ability to handle confidential client and patient information and records, including highly sensitive records that include detailed photographic, narrative and other documentation of rape and child sexual abuse, and demonstrated ability to adhere to all department, Hospital, and HIPAA requirements regarding protection of client/patient confidentiality and privacy.
