The Trauma PI Coordinator provides primary support to the Trauma Program Manager (TPM) and Trauma Medical Director (TMD) for all trauma performance improvement / peer review activities. The Trauma PI Coordinator oversees the PI process, performance improvement plans and is responsible for the aggregation, monitoring and reporting of regulatory, mandated and program specific quality metrics. Coordinates, implements and maintains trauma performance improvement/ peer review process for the Trauma Program at UCLA. Reviews adverse events, monitors for trends, develops and plans practice changes in collaboration with the TMD and TPM. Works in conjunction with the Trauma Nurse Practitioners, Trauma Registrars, and Trauma medical teams to identify any PI issues.
Salary: $92,600 – $202,200 Annually
We’re seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:
- Current valid California RN license – required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN or MSN degree – required.
- Current BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross – required.
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in surgical care, emergency department or surgical critical care with knowledge of principles and practices of trauma patient care – required
- Knowledge of statistical reports, peer review, performance improvement
- Knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Windows
- Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communications
- Ability to think proactively and critically
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
