The clinical site director is an integral part of the clinic staff, providing leadership and expertise on medical and patient care issues. This responsibility includes providing a positive role model and continuity of care for patients. The clinical site director works cooperatively with all Clinic departments, including nursing, pharmacy, clinic coordinators, and behavioral health staff. Because the Venice Family Clinic has robust volunteer and training programs, the clinical site director has a unique role in orienting, teaching, and providing support to the volunteer medical clinicians and training programs.
The clinical site director provides leadership to help resolve issues related to operational and clinical services. In addition to nurse practitioner duties, the position will involve leadership of the site’s clinician staff. Duties included in the leadership position are attending clinical leadership, dyad, peer review, credentialing, and coordinating team meetings. The site clinical director works closely with the site clinic manager, and together they lead the monthly site meetings and facilitate change and innovation projects at the site. The site clinical director also assists with the resolution of patient complaints.
Salary range: $140,200- $331, 800/annually
Required:
- CA RN License and CA NP License-required
- National Board Certification in NP Specialty-required
- MSN or DNP in a Nurse Practitioner Specialty-required
- State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, NPI#, DEA#, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES- required
- BLS Certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical, and academic personnel-required
- Ability to utilize Excel, Word, and other software programs-required
- Skill in working independently and following through with minimal direction-required
- Ability to set priorities-required
- Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed, and grammatically correct correspondence-required
- Document patient care concisely and comprehensively in the Electronic Health Record used at Venice Family Clinic-required
- Spanish Language Fluency- preferred
- 5 years NP experience – required
