The Didactics Coordinator provides high-level support to the Vice Chair of Education by proactively organizing and leading activities, tracking progress, and ensuring seamless communication. You will coordinate all aspects of residency and medical student didactic lectures, workshops, activities and simulation sessions. Additionally, you will also provide administrative support and coverage to the residency program, Education Office, and program directors as needed.
Salary Range: $29.42 – $42.14/Hourly
Required:
- Basic data analysis and reporting skills. Ability to generate computer reports, checking for errors, correcting and submitting accurate reports. Skills include entering, maintaining, extracting, and analyzing data in electronic systems.
- Skill in planning and organizing complex materials and information efficiently, skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are changes in workload, changes in assignments, pressures of deadlines, competitive requirements and heavy workload.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to develop working relationships within department and with learners.
- Excellent organizational skills, analytical, and demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to work reliably with complex faculty calendars / schedules in a well organized and detail oriented fashion.
- Demonstrated writing skills to compose logical, detailed, comprehensive, and grammatically correct correspondence, procedures, and reports.
- Ability to work effectively and accurately with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Faculty and Trainees at all levels to provide guidance to basic policies and procedures, answer inquiries, and obtain information.
- Ability to function effectively as a team member, establish and maintain cooperative, professional, courteous, and collaborative working relationships with all departmental personnel, University representatives, Faculty and Trainees at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple supervisors.
- Ability to develop and provide resource information with respect to learners’ training programs.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and by exercising good judgment.
- Ability to work occasionally after or before regular hours and on weekends to accommodate programs’ need.
- Excellent skill in coordinating meetings, lectures, dinners, etc.
- Ability to prepare supply orders and payment/reimbursements requests on a timely basis.
- Demonstrated skill in operating various computer hardware, printers, and scanners.
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) to prepare correspondences and reports.
- Ability to proctor exams.
- Knowledge of School of Medicine course policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of University personnel policies and procedures.
Preferred:
- Previous experience with working with Graduate Medical Education.
- 1-3 years of program management and/ or administrative support.
- Ability to understand and utilize medical terminology.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ERAS, ACGME, MedHub, QGenda, and other programs utilized by the residency/fellowship.
