The incumbent will perform various image post-processing and measurements as determined by the Principal Investigator. The incumbent will assist with ordering of laboratory animals and supplies needed for animal experiments, organizing the image measurements into a database and provide summary tables when needed. The incumbent will also assist with data-entry into a database. All work will be performed under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or senior lab scientists.
Salary: $28.88 – $46.46/hour
Required:
- Excellent skills in computer and software operation
- Knowledge of health services or clinical research methodology and principles.
- Prior IRB experience and coordination of clinical studies desired.
- Experience following strict research imaging protocols and data entry
- Knowledge and experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and statistical software programs (preferably Microsoft Word/Excel/Publisher/Access)
Preferred:
- Previous experience in data management of clinical research protocols, including the completion of case report forms and other study documents.
- Prior IRB experience and coordination of clinical studies desired.
- Excellent writing skills, as evidenced by co-authorship or authorship of research or technical reports, in order to write or edit correspondence, progress reports, and research papers
- Experience administering structured questionnaires
- Knowledge of basic statistical tests and procedures related to data management and selection of descriptive tests for summarizing data.
- Experience tracking subjects and managing follow up assessments
- Knowledge or experience in working with large animals
- California phlebotomy certification, ACRP or SoCRA (or equivalent certification).
- RN Licensure, BS, MS, or other degree, or several years’ professional research or analytical experience.
- Attentive to detail and have knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of simple statistical analysis.
