The UCLA Center for Prehospital Care (CPC) is the leading emergency and prehospital academic center on the West Coast. We are dedicated to inspire healing humankind through innovation and world-class education. EMT Clinical Instructors II’s provide skills presentations, and instruction in our basic life support programs including Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and EMT recertification for nearly 1,000 students every year. EMT Clinical Instructor II’s must work a minimum of three shifts per month which vary in length from 4 to 10 hours. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing demonstrations, instructing students on the application of equipment and performance of practical skills, acting as a student advocate in the learning process, creating an active learning environment, ensuring course requirements and objectives are met.
This is a 10% per diem position that may convert to career.
Target hourly salary for this role is:$26.96-$57.90
The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
1. Current AHA Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
2. CA EMT certification, or paramedic license.
3. Minimum of 1 year of EMS work experience in the field.
4. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work both independently, and in a team setting.
5. The ability to follow through with minimal direction.
6. A valid unrestricted CA Driver’s license, ability to drive personal vehicle to off-campus locations.
7. Flexible schedule, and be available to work weekdays, week evenings, and weekends.
