As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our gross anatomy lab. Your primary duties will include:
• Ensure organization and cleanliness within the gross anatomy lab, including setting up instrumentations, maintaining cleanliness, and ordering necessary supplies to support lab activities.
• Assist in the process of dissection, which will involve working with human cadavers, while adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Provide assistance with research, educational activities, and administrative tasks as required to facilitate the smooth functioning of the lab.
Note: This is a 0.90 position, which equates to 36 hours/week or 72 hours/bi-weekly pay period.
Salary Range: $19.32/hour – 22.37/hour
• Previous experience with dissecting human cadavers and maintaining human cadaveric specimens is required.
• Ability to work with human biospecimens, including blood, urine, and tissues, in a laboratory setting.
• Possess basic knowledge of human anatomical structures to effectively contribute to lab activities.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety rules and regulations, including EHS and OSHA guidelines, to ensure a safe working environment.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite for administrative tasks and documentation purposes.
• Ability to lift and push heavy objects as necessary for lab activities.
