The Department of Urology is seeking to hire a full time Project Policy Analyst II to act as a Research Assistant. In this role you will assist with the execution of operations to meet mission and goals of the program / project assigned. Under supervision, your work will consist of:
- Working independently or in teams to assists with the planning, development, and execution of operations to meet the mission and goals of assigned program/project, may include works related to IRB protocol submission and approval. Supports the effort to ensure compliance with all UCLA as well as relevant federal and state regulations.
- Collaborating in working toward the completion of all program/project activities, research, outreach, and recruitment. Work with research participants on consent and surveys/interviews. Assists with producing weekly status reports, schedules, and drafts documents, data collection/data clean up, and analysis. Creates materials, develops and maintains databases.
- Supporting all aspects of event planning from internal meetings to conferences and site visits.
- Additionally, you will develop and produce deliverables including presentations, website, social media content, communications, and other materials.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work independently and also have interpersonal skills to work with teams.
- Demonstrated writing skills to produce wide range of documents and deliverables.
- Experience communicating effectively and professionally and working with a variety of internal and external partners, including UCLA administrators, outside funders, policy makers and community representatives.
- Working knowledge of evaluation, creating datasets, grant writing and proposal submission.
- Strong organizational skills to successfully work on and track complex programs involving short deadlines and multiple tasks, in coordination with multiple teams to achieve program/project mission and goals.
- Working knowledge of program/project development, evaluation, creating datasets, financial management and reporting, research principles including CITI training, grant writing and proposal submission, University procedures and policies, program/project related federal and state regulations.
- Ability to seek out and learn new policies, procedures, and software to advance the mission of the program/project.
- Ability to train new program/project managers and other staff within and external to the unit.
