The Big Move

Moving can be a big deal, but when you make the choice to join UCLA Health, we’ll give you a helping hand. Your relocation package depends on the position. Please contact your recruiter to learn more. Here are a few helpful tips to keep in mind as you prepare for the big move.

  • Declutter and “purge” – what you don’t need, you can sell or donate
  • Schedule disconnect times (cable, internet, electricity, water and gas)
  • Change your address a week before you move
  • When packing, sort by category, label boxes and create a numbering system
  • Pack a personal overnight bag
  • Stop stronguying groceries a week before you leave
  • Take pictures of valuables and make copies of important papers
  • Defrost your fridge at least one day before you move
