Empowering abilities through Project SEARCH.
One way we live out our passion for inclusion is by helping everyone discover and make the most of their unique qualities. This can be clearly seen in our work with Project SEARCH. This unique program is designed to help adults with learning or developmental disabilities develop key job skills with the long-term focus on attaining full-time employment. Through a combination of classroom learning and hands-on rotations through multiple departments, the interns gain more than valuable workplace experience, they build confidence and independence as they bring inspiration to all of us.
Over the course of our ten-year involvement with Project SEARCH, interns have rotated through a variety of areas and have even obtained permanent positions within those departments including:
- Patient Transport
- Materials Management
- Environmental Services
- Laundry & Linen
- Food Services
- Human Resources
- Information Services & Solutions (I.T.)
- Environmental Health & Safety
