You can find the cures you know are out there. At UCLA Health, you make it happen as part of a groundbreaking Research team, working to understand hundreds of medical disorders and improving processes for dozens of procedures across the globe.
The INTEGRA study will utilize a mobile health delivery unit (aka mobile clinic) to link persons who inject drugs to integrated care and prevention for addiction, HIV, HCV and primary care. The study protocol includes a peer navigation component. Peer navigation is intended to assist people who may not have ready access to services to overcome barriers of entry to care and to remain in treatment.
The Peer Navigator Supervisor will oversee setup and implementation of navigation services for the study, which will be conducted in multiple locations throughout LA County. This position will hire, train, and supervisor lower-level navigators; develop recruitment and retention plans; liaise with healthcare and social service providers; compile data and report on progress. Will work closely with the study team on day-to-day operations and will participate in meetings with staff from other HIV Prevention Trials Network sites who are also conducting this study. Will also be responsible for their own caseload of participants, assessing needs and ensuring that participants are directly connected to the healthcare and other services they need. The Supervisor may be assigned to drive study vehicles.
