UCLA makes medical coverage as accessible and affordable as possible. All of our medical plans, without exception, offer high quality, comprehensive coverage for your medical, pharmacy and mental health needs.
Who’s covered? We cover eligible staff and your family, including your spouse, domestic partner and/or children to age 26. There are no exclusions for pre-existing conditions.

UCRP is a traditional pension program that provides eligible retirees with a predictable level of retirement income. Actual benefits are based on your age, salary, and years of UC service.
Retirement Savings Programs
Our savings programs include a university-sponsored, defined contribution pre-tax program (401a), tax deferred (403b) and 457(b) plans, and other after-tax savings plans.You may contribute to the 403b or 457b plans or both at the same time.

Our goal is to create a comprehensive safety net to protect our employees from loss of wages due to disability. To achieve this, we offer the following benefits, in conjunction with state-mandated Workers’ Compensation and Social Security disability benefits.
Basic life insurance is provided at no cost for most employees. You can choose to enroll in optional supplemental life insurance for which you pay the premium.
UC paid disability insurance is provided at no cost for most employees. You can choose to enroll in optional supplemental disability insurance for which you pay the premium.
Accidental Death and Dismemberment
For a small monthly premium, you may enroll in AD&D coverage.
You will have access to group rates for auto, renter and homeowners insurance through California Casualty. Premiums can be paid through payroll deduction.
Business Travel Accident Insurance
When traveling on official UCLA business you will be covered worldwide, 24 hours a day, for a wide variety of accidents and incidents while away from the workplace.
